Terms and Conditions of Service
Please ensure that you have read and understood the terms and conditions below. This document forms part of the agreement for makeup services between you and Ruby Jones.
Booking Fees and Payments
Immediate payment of a non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee is required before any date will be held. This is non-refundable in all circumstances. The booking fee balance is deducted from the final balance and is not an upfront payment for trials. 50% of the payable balance is payable 14 days before any trial date and the remaining 50% of the balance is payable 14 days before your event date. If no payment is received, I have the right to cancel all services. All Payments can be made via bank transfer or Paypal.
Weekend and bank holiday bookings April-September require a minimum of two people.

Travel expenses are included for the first 15 miles from NG15 9DN. Additional Mileage is charged at 40p per mile for the return journey.
Any changes of location made after the original booking form will be chargeable.
Trials are essential for bridal services. Without a trial I cannot accept responsibility if a desired look does not meet expectations on the day of an event. A trial is arranged for a mutually convenient date and time, usually 6 weeks before your wedding day at either Ruby’s Studio in Ravenshead or your home. Trial duration is usually 2-3 hours. Trials are carried out Monday-Friday or at weekends by prior arrangement.
I pride myself on the fact that my clients are happy with the results of a trial. However, in the unlikely event that you are not satisfied, I ask that you contact me immediately to resolve the matter as soon as possible.
Changes to bookings can be accommodated if time allows. However, I do require notice and additional services must be paid for at the time of booking. Changes to booking date and time are only available where availability allows and may incur charges.
Bridal services: You are required to give a minimum of 4 months notice should you wish to reduce numbers, amend or cancel your booking. After such time the full amount for services cancelled will still be payable. Booking fee is non-refundable.
All other services: 1 month minimum cancellation to avoid further charge. Booking fee is non-refundable.
In the unlikely event that I would have to cancel your booking, I would endeavour to find an alternative artist. If this is not possible you will receive a full refund minus the trial cost and booking fee.
Health & Safety
It is your responsibility to notify me of any allergies, medical issues or sensitivities to any cosmetic products.
It is important that I am able to update my portfolio regularly. Therefore, I ask that you advise me prior to treatments (in writing) if you do not wish to be photographed or if you do want me to use your images on social media or in marketing. As a rule I will never use trial photographs before a wedding day.
On the Day
I ask that you give the full address of the location you require the treatment and further directions if in remote locations. This is to avoid delays. For makeup services please arrive makeup free - failure to do so may extend the treatment time and cost. I require ample space to carry out makeup services including table space near to natural light. Please advise me prior to the event if this will be a problem.
Lip gloss and sparkle free for under 12s when you book any bridal makeup. However, I must be informed prior to the event if you wish to use this service so I can allow time.
